Bhalla who decided to enter into the field of Granite exports way back in 1976 by developing the quarrying of black granite stone in "Kunnum" area near Tindivanam in Tamilnadu, which later on, came to be known as the best granite in India.

Dr. Bhalla who was a Tourism and Hospitality professional incepted the firm Indiana Stone in order to expand the activites of the Indiana Group and the company began quarrying and export of rough Granite blocks from India. With a keen interest in Granite quarrying operations he associated with a Company in the Southern State of Tamilnadu who were one of the pioneers in promoting exports of Indian granite to Japan in the early Seventies, through the introduction of a very fine variety of granite stone, popularly known as "KUNNUM BLACK" material.

Continued loyalty and support of the entire community has led the Company to rise leaps and bounds. Today the sons of Dr. Bhalla are taking the Indiana Stone company in challenging and exciting directions in order to meet the needs of an ever-changing Marketplace and Industry. Indiana Stone company is comprised of a Processing factory, 3 quarries of premium quality Black Granite and, most importantly, 85 employees located throughout India and the Globe.

The Monument Division offers the broadest line of memorial products in the industry. This division supplies monuments, bases, markers, cremation products from urns to columbariums, community mausoleums, benches, specialty cemetery features and Private Estate family mausoleums as per order specifications.

This Factory operates some of the most advanced machinery that has been sourced from the world’s leading manufacturers and has a program in place for the purchase of new processing technology with the goal of improving its capabilities and increasing efficiency.

The company produces Top quality products using state-of-the-art technology merged with dedicated and skilled Indian craftsmen that has enabled us to grow in size and keep our excellent quality. Over the years Indiana Stone has carved a niche for itself in the market and our products including monuments are in demand in the market for its sheer creativity, durability and precision. This has led us to widen our horizons to countries viz. USA, Europe which will mainly be achieved by setting up of a new office in United Kingdom.
